Of Ogres, Sweltering Heat, Ostriches and Ghost Dragons

So, yesterday after work, I get picked up and we proceed to Awesome and Radical's swim lesson.

First, however, we head to the Arches for some quick dinner. The Pre-evolutions ate at home, but Little Miss Trouble and I needed something. I saw an ad on TV for 20 pc nuggets, so that's what I wanted.

DONKEY!

As it turns out, they wanted $7 for the box, because Shrek is on it! The good news is that if you're wanting to split it, you can pay $10 and get 2x medium fry/drink, but we really weren't interested... Stupid ogre, driving up the cost of overprocessed chicken meat. We dollar-menued it up instead.

So, onto the pool. Radical went first, as always, and got a ribbon for completing his class. I showed it to Awesome, telling him that his brother 'won' swim lessons.

"You can't 'win' swim lessons!" exclaimed Awesome.
"Yeah, you totally can. Here's the ribbon to prove it," say I.
"Can I win my lesson?" he asked.
I show him his own ribbon that the teacher provided. "You totally did."

There's a 2-week break in lessons, and I'm so glad that there is, because that indoor pool room is killer. It's extremely hot and humid, and it's like being in a sauna. There is a mom there who is ~8 months pregnant, and she isn't signing up for the next session simply because it's too hot for comfort. I don't mind it as long as I get to swim, too.

Radical and I watched Gosei 13, and I had to show it to Little Miss Trouble again last night. I just can't get over how ridiculous Mystic Brother is.

I mean, seriously. He's an ostrich carrying an egg on his back, which he kicks as a soccer ball. He's roughly 10 ft tall, but grows to Mecha size to attach to Gosei Great, where his wonderful weapon tech turns him into a spinning blade. I honestly don't know why I keep watching. It's like I want to see what insanity comes next.

After everyone else went to bed, I again entered the Arling of Amaranthine in the Kingdom of Ferelden. Passing through the remainder of the Deep Roads, I ended up clearing the Blackmarsh and facing the thing I've been waiting for.

The Queen of the Blackmarsh was a fun battle. I have a save just before, so I think I'm going to retry it at a harder difficulty. If you haven't played Dragon Age Origins: Awakening, this is a great reason to do so. Emperor says mages are 'easy mode' but he can go hang. As soon as I heard about spell combinations, I had to play one. It's made for a fun path through the game. Perhaps next time I'll play something else, since I will need to re-run through the game at least once for Return to Ostragar.
