Woodchuck’s 4th Ed one-shot was last Friday. There were lots of shots, and roughly 6 hours of play took us only through the initial bar fight. It was a cool and unique experience, but the large number of enemies, relative inexperience of the players and unintended way the battled played out conspired to bog the group down. I’d like to see this continue with the players better prepared to act (like how Chickadee had all her abilities written down on a cheat sheet) and perhaps fewer, tougher foes. All in all, I’m looking forward to getting back to it two weeks from now. Woodchuck has a family reunion next week back at the Dam.
Note: Contrast these two links for the reasoning behind Chickadee.

This year’s Sugar Creek Arts Festival was kind of a bust. There wasn’t much there that we wanted, and the earring lady was incredibly rude to LMT. She was planning to buy at least two pairs there, but said that if she was going to insult her customers, we weren’t going to support it. What we did end up supporting was the Zoo Lady, a face painter. Awesome got a brick wall face, and Radical did a spider web. I didn’t see the awesome glass dice this year, but I would’ve bought them if they had them.

This last Sunday was my one year anniversary. Little Miss Trouble and I have been married for one year. We celebrated the day with dinner at Medici. “They” say the first year is the toughest, so we look forward to easy street from here on. Suck it, hard times!

This better be effing Hot Rod. That’s all I have to day.
